Promotional & Transactional SMS.

In our Text SMS Solution there are two types of SMS deliveries available i.e. Promotional SMS (also known as marketing SMS) and Transactional SMS (also known as Enterprise SMS). Before you start you should know what the basic difference between them is.

Please refer the below differences between Promotional SMS and Transactional SMS:

Promotional SMS
  • The purpose of these is to be used for marketing and branding purposes. E.g sale promotion, offers, birthday wishes etc.
  • According to the TRAI regulations, promotional SMS are sent between 9 am to 9 pm only
  • SMS will be deliver to only non DND numbers and cannot be sent on DND numbers.
Transactional SMS
  • This can be used for sending any type of SMS like alerts, notification, OTP E.g. OTP, Bank Transactions etc.
  • Transactional SMS can be sent 24*7 means there is no restriction for sending SMS.
  • SMS can be sent both on DND and Non-DND numbers.
